Gerald The Curious Fox
A choose-your-own-adventure painting series
Meet Gerald—a curious fox whose path is being created one choice, one painting and one chapter at a time.
You decide what happens next.
The story behind the story
His path hasn’t been painted yet.
Gerald’s journey began with a fox sitting among the wildflowers—and two possible directions calling to him.
I could have decided what happened next. Instead, I handed that choice to you.
With every chapter, I’ll create a new original painting and continue Gerald’s story. Then you’ll be given another decision. The winning choice determines where the story goes…and what appears on my easel next.
None of us can see the entire path yet.
That’s the point.
Because sometimes the path doesn’t appear before we choose. Sometimes choosing is what creates it.
Chapter One
The Path Begins With a Choice
A mysterious light glows between the trees while a butterfly beckons Gerald toward the unknown.
One offers something warm and visible. The other offers no promise at all—only the feeling that it may be worth following.
Gerald couldn’t choose both.
So I asked you to decide.
The audience chose: Follow the butterfly
Chapter Two is now unfolding…
Chapter Two
The Forgotten Study
Following the butterfly, Gerald finds himself in a forgotten studio, where sunlight falls across a desk holding two possibilities: an open book with a map, and a key resting nearby.
One offers a path to follow. The other offers a chance to discover what’s hidden.
Sometimes the next step begins with a little curiosity—and a willingness to explore before we know what we’ll find.
Gerald couldn’t choose both.
So I asked you to decide.
The audience chose: Use the key.
Chapter Three is beginning…
You help create the journey.
